In 2018, my senior year as a biotechnology undergraduate, I played an indie game called "The Red Strings Club." This game deeply explores human happiness, control of negative emotions, brainwashing, and fate. The unique combination of narrative and interactive experience had a huge impact on me, and I experienced an unusual state of feeling: an admiration akin to jealousy. It was the jealousy of a "being a creator," envious of the talent and outstanding work of these game developers. Then, I realized that my true desire was to be a part of game designers and developers. Therefore, I quickly decided to cancel my further study in biotechnology and bravely pursue my dream.
After my graduation, I joined Shengqu Games, a Shanghai-based game company, as a technical designer.
